Carolina House Bed & Breakfast Washington North Carolina
The Carolina House B&B located in Washington NC was built in 1880 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Homes. We opened as a bed & breakfast in 1998. From the moment you step in the front door you can imagine yourself back in time with the high ceilings as a reminder of yesteryear. We have 4 rooms w/private baths. All are spacious ( 3 upstairs and 1suite downstairs). Our rooms are decorated with heirloom antiques and contemporary furnishings which accent a pleasant decor.
Toni and Peter Oser are your host. Toni is a Carolinian and Peter is European. Both have enjoyed many stays in Pension mit Fruhstuck (Bed with Breakfast). Our bed and breakfast is the perfect place to let us pass onto you the good service as we experienced during our travels, so you will have wonderful memories to share.
When you are not enjoying the comfort of your own guest room you can relax in the downstairs parlor on a late 1800 sofa while you read, watch TV,or have a pleasant conversation with another guest or enjoy a game of chess with our 16 piece pewter characters.
A full breakfast by candlelight is served while also enjoying the sound of soft music. Our breakfast is served between 7:00 and 9:00am (you pick the time even if you want to eat earlier than 7:00) we're flexible. Breakfast consists of coffee/tea/juice, fresh fruit, and apple pancakes or crepes or vanila toast w/fresh blueberries and our main dish, cajun or western omelet, hawaiian toast, or other varieties that change daily but will always delight the most "picky" breakfast person. We are here to accommodate you and to ensure all of your stay with us is enjoyable including breakfast so please don't hesitate to tell us if you have special dietary needs or don't eat meat or cheese or whatever...
To get away and relax come visit us. Begin the Walking Tour of Historic Washington right out the front door of the Carolina House B&B. Visit the North Carolina Estuarium where the river meets the sea an interest to all ages. The Estuarium exhibits SCIENCE, NATURE, ART, AND HISTORY. Enjoy an evening at the newly renovated Turnage Theater only 2 blocks from the Carolina House B&B.
